Easy Trifle Recipe Jam Roll

Trifle recipe with custard and jelly. When cool, trim edges, spread jam evenly over sponge and use paper to roll up from the short side.

Easy trifle recipe jam roll. For a classic dessert, you really can’t go past this easy trifle recipe. In a very large bowl lay the slices of 1 ½ of the jam rolls in the base and halfway up the sides. Jelly (135 grams, strawberry, raspberry, or preferred flavour) jam filled swiss roll (170 grams) sherry cream (5 tablespoons) blueberries (75 grams) raspberries (100 grams)

Repeat layers in the same order. Repeat this until you have used up all the madeira. 395g tin of condensed milk.

Top the jelly layer with half of the whipped cream, followed by remaining jam roll slices, sprinkled with sherry. Halve the hulled strawberries and set aside. Half of the cake cubes, half of the lemon curd, half of the pudding, half of the crushed shortbread cookies, half of the blueberries, and half of the cool whip.

It’s practically no fail as it’s made using a few store bought ingredients and the result is a delicious and flavour packed dessert. Pour the cooled custard over the jam rolls, followed by one of the jelly mixtures. Arrange the cake on the bottom of the bowl, and pour over the sherry.

Halve the cherries, and the raspberries too if they’re big. Add remaining custard to top of jam rolls. On top of this place one third of the fruit.

This will form the bottom layer of the trifle. This simple dessert is made using jam roll, custard, fruit, cream and an extra special ingredient. For assembling, unroll the genoise and evenly spread the raspberry jam (previously warmed up) onto the entire cake sheet.

The sugared pecans can also be prepared in advance and stored in an airtight container.

Set aside for 30 minutes. Whip the cream with the sugar and put into a piping bag. Stir the flour, suet, sugar and salt in a large bowl until fully combined.

Cut little pieces of jam roll to fill any gaps. Cover and refrigerate for a couple hours (or overnight.) Prepare the pudding, spread it over the fruit layer and chill.

Put other jelly in bowl and leave to set for 24 hours. Turn out onto a piece of baking paper and remove backing paper. Purchased jelly roll cakes (yellow cake with raspberry jam filling), pudding, whipped topping and fresh strawberries.

Warm the jam then allow it to cool a little, but whilst still runny, pour it over the custard. Gently place spoonfuls of whipped cream over the custard. Arrange swiss roll slices over the base and halfway up the sides of a 3l serving bowl.
